The Buzzi Scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior in the Delaware River Basin who demonstrates outstanding achievement, and is pursuing a field of study critical to water resources. Applications are due by March 31st. Information about the scholarship can be found here. Congratulations again to the 2023 Buzzi Scholarship recipient, Victoria Parsons, pictured above. Victoria is a Sussex Academy graduate who went on to study Environmental Science.
In 2003, the Water Resources Association of the Delaware River Basin (WRA) established the John L Buzzi Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor the late Dr. John L. Buzzi (1936-2003), a former chairman of WRA and member of the Board of Directors who was a highly respected and greatly admired water resource engineering professional, and a dedicated community leader within and outside the Delaware River Basin. WRA is pleased to announce the availability of $1,000 in scholarship funds for the purpose of educating an aspiring water resources student.
