Form new connections with members who are experts in analyzing how scientific evidence and recent data should shape public policy and regulations.
This committee meets semi-annually but also convenes to respond to urgent matters that arise. Committee members inform reports, white papers, and testimonies at public hearings, specifically DRBC hearings, and equip the larger WRA membership with the most relevant and actionable information about evidence-based management practices and legislative proposals so the cross-sector, cross-county collaborations that need to happen can happen.
This Science and Policy committee responds to a variety of issues including primary contact recreation, PFAS standards, regulation of PCBs, fish and wildlife protection, and others.
