Mr. Luitweiler is registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering, both from Drexel University. He retired from Aqua American in 2013 as Vice President, Chief Environmental Officer after 29 years with the company. At Aqua, he was responsible for water quality and environmental compliance for operations in ten states.
Preston is a lifetime member of the American Water Works Association and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was chair of the AWWA Technical Advisory Workgroup on source water protection from 1999 to 2003.
