David Forcinito, P.E. | Senior Director – Operations

David Forcinito is the Senior Director for New Jersey American Water’s South Operations, which provides water and wastewater services to over 215,000 customers in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. David oversees 180 water industry professionals and is responsible for regional operations.  

With over 30 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry, David began his career with New Jersey American Water as a project engineer before transitioning to operations. While in operations he held various management positions and was responsible for managing more than 30 treatment facilities including the Delaware River Regional Water Treatment Plant.  He was also responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution systems, including multimillion dollar infrastructure renewal programs.  

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Widener University and a Master of Science degree in water resources and environmental engineering from Villanova University. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey and holds New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection T, W, S, and C operator licenses. David is a member of the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Federation and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
