Vicinity hosted representatives from the City of Philadelphia‘s Department of Planning & Development and Office of Transportation, Infrastructure & Sustainability for a tour of the Grays Ferry facility.
The group learned about the fascinating history of district steam production in Philadelphia and its importance to serving the city’s most critical infrastructure, as well as how district energy’s evolving technology like Vicinity’s eSteam™ offering can help the city meet it’s own sustainability goals.
Michael Ancona led the tour, joined by the City of Philadelphia’s Anne Fadullon and Eleanor Sharpe, AICP, LEED AP, and Mike Carroll.
