W. Kortney Brown, PE is an Associate with Schnabel Engineering and a board member of WRA. As either a PM, resident engineer, reviewer, or designer, Kortney has worked on more than 150 dam projects and has provided services throughout each phase of the project life cycle, including studies, inspections, design and construction. Kortney has been the project manager, lead designer, or EOR on over 35 major rehabilitation projects. His passion and talent lay in the evaluation and analysis of existing dam infrastructure, and developing design solutions to address a variety of dam safety deficiencies including inadequate spillway and drawdown capacity, slope instability, excessive seepage, and structural deterioration.
