James Barbis, P.E. CFM | Principal Engineer

James is a Principal Engineer with Geosyntec. He is a registered Professional Engineer and certified floodplain manager (CFM) who leads an experienced team who support municipal and private clients throughout the United States in identifying resilient solutions to protect their key assets from the threats of climate change. 

Mr. Barbis’s professional experience includes a wide range of water resources related projects, including leading flooding walkdowns at Nuclear Facilities; hydrologic and hydraulic Modeling; levee evaluations, designs and certifications; dam assessments and rehabilitation designs; and flood hazard studies.

When not working, Mr. Barbis enjoys spending time with his family and getting outside.
