Tour a Wastewater Treatment Plant and Learn About PWD Careers

Experience what the Water Department is all about at our Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant.

On Saturday, October 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) is hosting a tour and career fair at the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant, 25 Pattison Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19148.

Treating wastewater is our commitment to the health and vitality of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers. It also benefits our creeks and rivers — and the people of our region who enjoy and depend on these waterways.

Take a 30-minute tour of the Philadelphia Water Department’s wastewater treatment process.

During this event, you can also explore PWD careers that make a difference for the environment and the City of Philadelphia. Talk to HR professionals onsite and connect with employees who are in the following careers:

• Graduate civil and environmental engineers
• Machinery and equipment mechanics
• HVAC mechanics
• Machinists
• Roofers
• Apprenticeships and more

Feel free to bring your resumes, but there will be no onsite job interviews.

PWD jobs are reentry-friendly! The Office of Reentry Partnerships will be on hand to answer questions for returning citizens.
