With increasingly intense storms and aging infrastructure, our sewer system is under strain. This can lead to polluted runoff flowing through our streets and into local waterways. At the same time, there’s real momentum for change: City Council has adopted a Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) resolution, with a hearing expected this fall. The decisions being made now will have lasting impacts on the health, safety, and resilience of our neighborhoods.
Come to our community film screening of the new documentary Reclaiming the Rain on June 30th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. It’s a chance for neighbors, advocates, City Leaders, and people from the Philadelphia Water Department to connect, share updates, and talk about the future of GSI in our city.
