DRBC Business Meeting

June 5, 2024 | 10:30 am - 12:30 pm | Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge Street, Narrowsburg, N.Y
Business Meeting: Wednesday, June 5, 10:30 a.m.

The 2Q public business meeting will take place at the Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge Street, Narrowsburg, N.Y. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, commencing at 10:30 a.m.

The June 5, 2024, Business Meeting will include the following:

  • Adoption of the Minutes of the Commission’s March 6, 2024, Business Meeting;
  • Announcement of upcoming meetings and events;
  • A report on hydrologic conditions;
  • Reports by the Executive Director and the Commission’s General Counsel; and
  • Consideration of any items for which a hearing has been completed or is not required.

The agenda is expected to include consideration of the resolutions and draft dockets for withdrawals, discharges, and other projects that are subjects of the public hearing on May 8, 2024. There will be no opportunity for additional public comment for the record at the June 5 Business Meeting on items for which a hearing was completed on May 8 or a previous date. Commission consideration on June 5 of items for which the public hearing is closed may result in approval of the item (by docket or resolution) as proposed, approval with changes, denial or deferral. When the Commissioners defer an action, they may announce an additional period for written comment on the item, with or without an additional hearing date, or they may take additional time to consider the input they have already received without requesting further public input. Any deferred items will be considered for action at a public meeting of the Commission on a future date.

After all scheduled business has been completed and as time allows, the Business Meeting may be followed by up to one hour of Open Public Comment. This is an opportunity to address the Commission on any topic concerning management of the Basin’s water resources outside the context of a duly noticed, on-the-record public hearing.

Following the Open Public Comment session, join us for an afternoon screening of the short film Our Shared Waters: A Flight Along the Delaware and panel discussion highlighting success stories and management challenges for the Upper Delaware River, moderated by Meg McGuire, Delaware Currents. The film screening and panel discussion will be in-person only at the Tusten Theatre.
