2026 Innovation & Collaboration Awards: Nominations Due July 30

The Water Resources Association of the Delaware River Basin is accepting nominations for its 2026 Innovation & Collaboration Awards through July 30.

Showcase your innovation and collaboration excellence.  Celebrate a project you admire.  Bring recognition to work that can serve as a template for others.

The awards recognize groundbreaking partnerships, projects, and organizations that advance sound water resources management in the Delaware River Basin. Winning work demonstrates innovation, meaningful impact, and success unreachable without a united effort.

Three categories:

  • Business & Industry — open to all who work and do business within the Basin while exemplifying innovation and collaboration in advancing sound water management.
  • Government — honors a governmental body, individual or initiative whose innovation and collaboration have significantly contributed to sound water management.
  • Research — recognizes a team or project united to advance exemplary science in water resources.

Eligible projects promote conservation, stormwater management, extreme weather risk mitigation, drinking water quality, advances in wastewater treatment, workforce development, biodiversity, sustainability, and resilience.

Nominate yourself, your company, another organization, or individuals. Submissions should include the award category, nominee contact information, a project description, scope, cost/benefit, unique features, results, and relevant photographs/graphics. The nomination can be succinct, and make use of existing publications and information.

Awards will be presented at WRA’s Value of Water Technical Event on October 29, 2026. Last year’s honorees included Temple University’s Thermal Technologies & Analytical Laboratory, the Valley Forge Sewer Authority, GreenUp and the Philadelphia Water Department. Submit nominations by July 30 to Skelly Holmbeck, Executive Director, at ed@wradrb.org. WRA may not award in every category in a given year. Guidelines can be found here
